Support Worker – Supported Independent Living (Cleveland, QLD) - Female Identified Position
Permanent Part-Time | Flexible Shifts | Sleepovers & Weekends Required
Sirv is currently seeking experienced and dedicated Support Workers to join our professional team, providing high-quality, person-centred care within a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment located in Cleveland, Queensland.

About the Role
As a Support Worker at Sirv, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and enhanced quality of life for our clients. You will be working in a shared living environment, providing individualised support in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards and participant support plans.
The role involves shift work, including inactive sleepovers, weekend coverage, and weekdays, based on a rotating roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering personal care supports including hoisting, peri-wash, continence support, and assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Supporting participants with meal preparation, modified diets, and safe mealtime assistance, including swallowing support as per assessed needs.
- Administering medications as delegated and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Supporting participants with daily living activities including household tasks, shopping, and community access.
- Upholding and promoting participant rights, dignity, and choice at all times.
- Observing and reporting any changes in health status to the relevant team members or clinical supports.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment in accordance with individual care plans and workplace health and safety protocols.
Key Requirements
- Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, Nursing, or a related field.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Yellow Card
- NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
- Driver's License
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Working Vehicle
- Demonstrated experience in: Manual handling and hoisting, Personal care including peri-wash and continence care, Mealtime preparation and feeding support, including texture-modified diet.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on professional boundaries, accountability, and documentation.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and sleepover shifts.
