Job Title: Senior Support Worker (Female)

Employment Type: Part-Time (26 hours per week + 2 Sleepovers)

Location: Cleveland, QLD 4163

Position Overview:

Sirv is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker (Female) to join our team in providing high-quality, person-centered support to a female participant under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This is a part-time position with a set weekly roster, delivering essential personal care and support in a respectful, professional, and compassionate manner.

The ideal candidate will bring a mature approach, experience in high-support needs (including hoisting and personal hygiene), and a strong commitment to upholding the dignity, choice, and independence of the individual supported.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide quality supports to NDIS Participants accessing the service

- Deliver support in a professional, respectful, and person-centered way

- Monitor and respond to the participants physical and emotional well-being

- Assist with domestic tasks as required (e.g. light cleaning, meal preparation)

- Provide personal care, including peri-washing, hygiene routines, and hoisting.

- Working alongside the managing partner and team leader/s to deliver services across the team, including assisting in providing updates and communications.

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with NDIS Practice Standards.

- Roster management and other agreed administrative duties.

- On-call participation

Rostered Hours:

Monday: 9:00am – 3:00pm

Tuesday: 10:00am – 2:00pm

Wednesday: 6:00pm – 10:00am (includes inactive sleepover from 11:00pm – 7:00am)

Thursday: 6:00pm – 10:00am (includes inactive sleepover from 11:00pm – 7:00am)

Additional hours may be available for administrative duties. Shift times and days may be negotiable for the right candidate.

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in disability support, including hoisting and personal care
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Roadworthy vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • Current Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening Check)
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional boundaries

  • Previous experience in a senior or leadership support role
  • High level of reliability, maturity, and emotional intelligence
  • An understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed practice
  • Flexibility to adapt to participant needs and changes in routine
