Key Responsibilities:
Provide empathetic, respectful, and non-judgmental support to individuals with complex mental illnesses.
Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop tailored support plans.
Facilitate conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques in challenging situations.
Support clients dealing with drug and alcohol misuse, offering guidance and resources for recovery.
Engage with clients exhibiting criminal behaviors and behaviors of concern, promoting positive change.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mental health professionals, social workers, and other support services.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychosocial support or a related field, specifically working with complex mental illness.
Proven experience in conflict resolution and crisis intervention.
Knowledge of substance abuse issues and appropriate support strategies.
Familiarity with criminal behavior and effective engagement techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, or a related discipline (e.g., diploma or degree).
Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
